Metro bank have always been very friendly and tried to persuade me to switch from Lloyds once. Unsuccessfully because they couldn't give me a free premium account (which they no longer do anyway) or the facilities of private banking for free both of which Lloyds give me. Lloyds also have deposit point facilities at some of their external cashpoints and you can deposit notes cheques etc.
