If the birthday in the reservation is wrong, will it be printed on the Delta boarding pass, or will the TSA agent at the security checkpoint otherwise be able to see the discrepancy? (I'm not sure what information shows when the boarding pass is scanned at security.)
If not, I don't see how this could be an issue, but I want to be careful- it would be mortifying if the speaker got held up at the airport.

If the person is a speaker, have you tried to find the birthdate online, either through a professional directory, LinkedIn etc., or the person's own website that probably has a link to his resume/vita as well as a narrative bio. I'd try this if you cannot get an immediate response.
Otherwise, just make sure to properly correct the date of birth in good time for secure flight.
