I can confirm:
- you can use the Self Service Check in machines at LHR T3, T5, LGW, LCY and EDI to change seat assignments for free provided you have not Printed, App'd, Saved, Downloaded, Emailed or Faxed your boarding pass beforehand. I think we can assume they all work for this.
- you can also use the Self Service Check in machines the night before at T3, T5 and LGW to freely change seat assignments before travel. I'm not sure when the timeline for this works, it certainly does for 16 hours before travel, I suspect it is 24 hours if you have OLCI already. No data (yet) on LCY.
