So I couldn't resist taking advantage of AC's seat sale price to Maui, and am taking the missus on a holiday in Apr. Started cruising the car rental sites to see if I could find a good price on a convertible, and was trying many of the discount codes found on the FT boards for the various car rental companies. Jus for fun, I tried entering Aeroplan's discount #'s for both Hertz & National. (These are AP basic #'s)
Guess what- not only did they return rates higher than any code I put in from FT, or the generic CAA code, but a rate even higher than not putting ANY code in ! Thanks for the great perk, AP. Must give a discount off of the highest rental rates the companies offer, or something!
