Okay, my husband decides today (we're leaving tomorrow evening) that he wants to rent a cell phone that can make calls to anywhere so he won't be out of touch in Europe. I did a search on these boards and came up with nothing, so sorry if this has been asked before.

I don't know where to begin...should I try to rent one before we leave LA or should I wait until we get to LHR, or to our final destination, Vienna? Thanks for any suggestions you can give.
