12/26 is not really a peak day for travel. Highest demand is flying out a day or two before (or the weekend before) Christmas, and returning the Sunday after Christmas (or the Sunday after New Year's). 12/26 being the Saturday after Christmas is not going to be popular.

It's likely pending cancellation, which may run as early as tonight.

Once it cancels the OP can rebook on available UA flights or get a refund of the ticket.
