What does the "normal" remote lot cost these days? (The one where you park and walk directly to the tram.) If that's still in the $10-12 ballpark, then IMHO is the best value of all of the options discussed here.

National Car Rental could be a possibility, if they are in the $8/day range. At most airports, National is among the leaders in terms of bus-to-terminal frequency. Assuming you are boarding a bus with the rest of the rental car pax, you will rarely be outside of a 2-4 minute wait time.

As for private parking lots: I've experimented with them at STL, DFW, and MCI. I found too much risk of a 15-20 minute wait - particularly outside of peak flight hours - and won't go back to them regardless of cost. I have never used one of these services at ORD, and don't know how Avistar's bus frequency compares with that of National (or the tram).

Finally, I don't know whether long-term parking is prohibited in the CTA garages or not. I left a car at Cumberland overnight once a few years ago, and got it out the next day for $3. I'm not sure what they'd do if you parked there for longer than that...
