I will be relocating to NZ shortly and want to sign up for either ANZ Airpoints or SQ Krisflyer to try to get to Star Alliance elite asap.

I will be initiating my travels with the following itinerary.

NZ 1 London – Auckland 1615 0645 – via L.A.
Premium economy


NZ 282 Auckland – Singapore 0050 0640 –
SQ 978 Singapore - Bangkok 1835 2000
NZ3451 Bangkok – Singapore 1540 1910 – Singapore Airlines operation
NZ3285 Singapore – Auckland 2050 1145 – Singapore Airlines operation
Economy class

I will then be doing quite a bit of travelling within NZ on ANZ. Was wondering what FFP I should sign up for in order to get to Star Elite ASAP? I have calculated that this itinerary will get me to 401 Airpoints, which is 49 pts shy of Star Silver. Is this comparable to how close I'd get if I signed up for Krisflyer or any other SA FFP?
