You can do just that. Transfer the avios out into a separate stand alone avios account, close your current BAEC account provided you're not interested in the 130 LTP's. Open a new BAEC account to provide a collection date range that suits you for the first year's travel and then transfer the avios back; bob's your uncle. I considered doing this at a point last year, but never did in the end as wasn't massively worth it for me. In your case, perhaps it is worth a look.
