Still variable handling

Mech delay, called "1k desk" (haha) and she said no more backups. I said since when. She said about ten d ago. She booted me off delayed flight to next one out three hrs later. Basically lost my seat on the orig and I did it bec I believed her. Ha.

Went to UC and there they restored my orig flight and properly backed me up on the later one. What a joke. Never take no; HUCA or visit the UC.

FYI gals in UC believe the policy chg is due to new CEO. I really don't care why but I agree that the loss of protection, if it is ever fully enforced, is a big loss. Even bigger than TODs, status no longer being passed to award flights, etc.
