I don't get the rental car aversion. I've worked with CEO's - ones who were prominent in their industries - who wouldn't hesitate one second to jump in a rental if that was the most efficient way to travel.

In fact, I've known a CEO or two who purposely avoided limos because he didn't like the extra variable of an outside driver. I think he would have preferred to have his own pickup truck everywhere he went, but would settle for a rental if necessary...
