I very much agree with most the advice and suggestions others have left here regarding the BA response, especially on the I-pad situation. However, I do believe the above mentioned to be perfectly correct. I imagine BA, like any other reputable food service provider, has a detailed HACCP and FSM system in place.
I am no expert on aircraft food service, but from the outside looking in, I believe that the CCP under these circumstances should be a core cooking temperature of 75C before serving. I could be totally off the mark, but that should be one of the first things that any company should be looking for after getting a food poisoning complaint. Providing the due diligence is there 'n' all that.............
All that said as this specific product has been pre-pasteurised, even if it were not heated to the 75C, food poisoning is highly highly unlikely. I would like to think from a safety point of view that it just went cold within the time it was served to you which although not good, is still perfectly safe.
