I will say that, after my first visit on opening day, I have found the staff to be excellent. This truly is a hotel that gets better the more you stay, and by our fifth time there they know pretty much everything we want before we ask for it (two kinds of slippers for everyone, two kinds of pajamas for everyone, Argan amenities, etc...)

Here's a personal anecdote from my Andaz stay last week, with a big assist to the club manager of the Grand Hyatt. We had just finished a two night stay at GH (solid as always), where we had mentioned to Mr. Kitano the night before that we would be going to the Andaz for the second half of our Silver Week. He insisted on seeing us all the way down to our car and seeing us off, even though we didn't have all that much luggage with us, for reasons that would soon become apparent.

After the ten minute drive to Andaz followed by the spiral drive down to B3 level, an Andaz staff member I knew greeted us by name at the parking entrance and told us to follow him, SPRINTED ahead of us so we wouldn't have to drive too slow, and lead us to a reserved parking spot right next to the handicap area. The only way it could have been more VIP is if he had gotten into car and parked it himself...but he probably knows me well enough to know that I don't enjoy things like valet parking.

Anyway, I thought it was really cool to see two Hyatt hotels working together to pull off something like that. Makes it seem like Tokyo Hyatt hotels are all one big happy family, instead of just individually great hotels.

Also tried an AO Spa massage for the first time, my second ever massage overall. It was very nice, but I think I still prefer the one I had at the Grand Hyatt Nagomi Spa.

No Nutella Brioche (which even the staff call "French Toast) on either of our two morning breakfasts at The Tavern. I get the feeling that that's only for people who know to ask for it at this point...
