If that's the question then I'm afraid the answer will be a resounding 'no'. The tier points and Avios will be credited to your current membership and the tier points will reset to zero (as well as your number of eligible flights) when your membership year renews.

Or have I misunderstood?
Thanks for your reply. Let me clarify once again, just for me to make sure about your answer.

My flights are indeed in Dec 2015. I would plan to take these flights WITHOUT putting ANY frequent flyer membership number in the booking.

Come Mar 2016 (for example), when my BAEC membership year has already reset, I would then apply to BAEC to get retroactive credit. What you are saying, golfmad, is that BAEC would still give me the Avios (which is irrelevant to me which membership year it gets credited to) BUT that BAEC would apply the Tier Points to my PREVIOUS membership year (which would have reset by Mar 2016) already, so I lose out on these Tier Points altogether. Am I understanding this correctly? Of course, I would prefer the four flights' Tier points to be credited to the new membership year, so I am comfortable knowing that I have taken the eligible flights requirements already in my run to BAEC Gold.

In the CX world, if I had applied for retroactive credit in, again using Mar 2016 as an example, I would get the mileage AND the Sector counts applied on the day of their crediting to my account. In essence, it would have been if I had taken the flights in Mar 2016 instead of Dec 2015.
