I have a 7 hour layover in Guangzhou and was wondering if there is anything I should be aware of. US citizen, onward ticket booked and I will have printed proof with me. I was planning to jump on the metro and ride into the city and just walk along the river. Nothing too time consuming as I want to make sure I have enough time to get back for my flight.
One thing I worry about is that my flight leaves at 12:30am and the left luggage closes at 10pm. No lockers? Also, I see the mention of strict rules about liquids and telescoping handles, is there anything I should know about coming back into the airport with my carry-on luggage?
