I booked through AF website. Unsurprisingly, delta.com would not allow me to book S class. Did you book via Delta and then access the reservation on airfrance.com?
I was at IAH early and stopped by the AF office. What I stated about the JV process is what I was told by someone in management there. It certainly makes sense since Club 2000 is more akin to Delta 360 rather than Delta DM.
Whether it actually happens in practice is another matter, which is why this is such an important thread. Thanks to OP for posting! I had the same question and will remember to report back after my Christmastime flight.
