Kacee and others asked "why didn't you just call United and get them to assign the E+ for free" ?

1. I live in Saudi Arabia. There is no local or toll free number for United. Our internet speed is barely equal to dial up so the 800 numbers on VOIP are not an option.

2. I spent about 2 hours trying to get Mrs. Gpicur (Who IS a 1K !!) a Saver Business Class ticket. At the point of choosing a seat, I wanted to complete the transaction without jepordizing the loss of the a seat that took me 2 hours to find and book.

3. If I had known it was as system glitch, I wouldn't have posted it on FT. After all, conspiracy, conjecture and accusations are the hallmark of this board. I still think that UA is doing this to augment revenue. BTW, it has been 12 hours and I have not yet received the automatic acknowledgement email from 1K Voice.
