If you have enough for them there is a kind of benefit.
I don't know how many tickets are needed but if you have enough of them you get to spend an evening with some of our managers at a nice restaurant for dinner.
That sounds a bit like my job in the UK. Once a year they'd gather up all the managers and invite a few long serving employees to a posh do in some swanky hotel. Of course it was all just an excuse for the management to have a free p*** up, and most employees didn't really enjoy it. I got my invite for 20 years' service, a week after I resigned from the job!
