I gave out my golden ticket recently, It made what was an already great flight even better.

It was a little awkward handing out the ticket as I was on the UD of 747, so serviced by 2 very good staff. I did fill in a thank you and a paper form for the other member of cabin crew as well as completing the online portion of the golden ticket.

I did ask if it meant anything to the crew, they responded it was nice to be recognised. I got a hug, a bottle of fizz from first to share with my wife on board and a bottle of fizz in a sealed duty free bag as we were transiting on arrival.

So for me even if staff don't get anything extra for it at least its a way for me to give them a real thank you beyond just saying thank you.

So I didn't leave with a bag full of booze but I did leave with a stomach full of booze and 4 bags of jelly beans, I didn't even have to walk down the stairs to raid the club kitchen to get them the crew member just brought them up to me.
