I disagree with AC's handling of this.
I figure they are charging back these penalties to the seat manufacturer who can't come up with the 777 retrofit on time. The same used to happen with IFE failure when they were issuing thousands of dollars in compensation and probably just billing back the manufacturer. So, I doubt AC is being charitable.
