Note that Post Offices now allow you to pay in cash & cheques to most current accounts.

The Post Office on Lower Regent Street is open 12-4pm on a Sunday.

However you seem to suggest you're going to be paying in a significant amount of cash so just be mindful that you don't go triggering any AML checks....
