It's been refreshing to see the cascade of negative press in the mainstream media focusing on United's atrocious customer AND employee relations. Neither the Board nor management can hide from the perception any longer, and the notion that United's initiatives are driving improved results sort of falls flat in comparison to the rest of the industry, which is posting equivalent or better numbers.
Better late than never.
