I fly transpac multiple times each year and have always made sure I get on the 744 UD. I go out of my way to add a connection, getting up early to catch flights that will take me to catch the 744.

I must have been really lucky as I have not experienced any major delays or mechanical issues with the 744 in the last five years. On the other hand, i have had problems with PMCO 777. PMUA seems to be more reliable than other widebodies in the UA fleet.

I have found the UD window seats the best. 13AB and 14JK are the best seats in my opinion as you won't see the facing passengers across from you. the side bins are definitely more useful than the side bins on the A380.

Go for it before 744 fly into the sunset.
