The sCO 772s have not exactly been paragons of reliability, so I'm not sure there's added risk of a mx on the 744 (last time mduell published the stats, I believe they were the worst of all the UA widebodies). Basically, UA in general is not a reliable airline - you're rolling the dice regardless of aircraft.
