As an additional data point on height, I'm 5'11'' and love the 747 UD. I greatly prefer it over PMCO BF seats, which feel to me like they have cramped legroom. (of course others have different tastes).

That said, I think you should be very wary about adding a connection for a multi-let international itinerary.
