Wrong Credit Card Type in online portfolio
This is a strange one, and wondering if I am on the person seeing this. I have the problem at times, not getting the Amex Co-branding bonus with my Amex surpass card. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to if it will show up automatically, or if I have to send an email to Diamond Desk.
I only have one card in my profile, the Surpass card and been that way for several years. After taking a week long trip in August, and staying at 5-6 hotels during this time, I returned and found only three had the co-brand bonus added.
I sent the usual email to Diamond, and came back to me & said I used a Carte Blanch card to pay the bill. I told them they were wrong, as the last four digits on the card used, matched the last four digits shown online in the porfolio, and I never had a CB card.
Well, this past weekend, I checked out of a HGI and had them print the bill. I don't do that very often and just go with the one online or email to me as I know what the amount should be. The printed invoice, shows the balance settled to my Amex, with the last 4 digits of course matching the card on file.
The online portfolio just came available, and sure enough, it shows CB for Catre Blanch, with the matching last four digits of my Amex. I went back and look at every online portfolio this past year, and they all show settled to CB. Some of those did get the Amex co-brand bonus automatically too, so not consistent.
I am wondering if this is part of the issue some of us are having with getting the bonus automatically (I know some, have no problem).
I have also learned, to never send an email to th Diamond desk in the mornings, to wait until after lunch as that morning group (east coast USA for me), gives more excuses for not getting the co-brand bonus.
