Sorry if this is a stupid questions, and thanks in advance.

I'm trying to get my wife and I to South Africa. I have about 250,000 points I can transfer to BA. BA's fuel surcharges suck.

1) Can I book award travel on Qatar Airways via BA?
2) With BA miles?
3) How many miles would it take to go in business class?
4) Would fuel surcharges still apply?
5) Any other way to get me to South Africa on BA (or otherwise) without paying the surcharge?
