You may wish to try asking the HAN-SIN to be added to your PNR and sent to revenue control to see if it can replace the existing SGN-SIN. Front-line agents can essentially do nothing more than what is available in front of them - it requires either waitlist clearing or the review of the revenue controller for anything more.
Thanks again for this very useful information. If I do try to change via revenue control, is there much of a chance that the whole reservation might get screwed up/lost in the process? And if it does work out, about how long does revenue control take to process the change?
