Even without a strike it is iffy at SYD to enter at 9am for 9:50 departure even with express pass. Lots of departures then so queues build fast, at 8 am takes <5 min and at 9am can take >30 min. With the strike, double those times best case. The only thing going for you is airline is likely to delay flight if lots of pax are stuck in clearance.
