I have a BA 241 expiring on Dec 6th and I am looking at BA business or 1st class (one-way) for 125k+1500$ or 145k + 1700$ from IAH(Houston)- BLR(Bangalore,India).

I wanted opinions as I found various answers to the scenario.

1. I don't have more than 145k miles so I can only use oneway 241 in Business or first(will take first class based on availability as it is only 20k miles and 200$ more), I read T&C and it states it should be round trip but when trying to book online it is giving me option to book one-way so will use only one-way.. Anyone with experience if it allows booking one-way.

other option is

2. Qatar business using aa miles is 67.5k miles for each ticket and 10$ taxes so does it make more sense to use this option and forfeit my 241 offer and use ba miles for travel in US in future as it is so much cheaper to fly QR business class and also I have plenty of aa miles for this trip.
