i do not recall a desk being in the room. the bedroom was pretty much the bed and tv on the wall with a door to the bathroom while the living area had a couch with coffee table and counter next to the kitchen.

now that you mention it, i could definitely see the lack of desk being an annoyance given the demographics of the area..
