I called toll free reservation line and was told no, can only upgrade to oceanview not oceanfront suite. However, when I later called hotel directly and asked the same question, I was told GV room to GV suite and OV room to OV suite, and OF room can be upgraded to OF suite. May be YMMV, but I got my email confirming my upcoming stay in OF suite while paying for OF room and using suite upgrade cert.
