Read again. OP looked at the reservation after calling in and didn't see any problem with the reservation. "The awards looked to be fine and in order." There's nothing in the post to indicate that OP noticed a problem until OP contact them.
But she also said that the miles had been "reinstated". This would seem to be a red flag albeit the OP says she didn't notice this large amount of miles being returned to her account.
It pays to check your mileage balance now and then if not for this reason for the reason in this thread:
