Interesting - I had not noticed. Seems a bit odd but I have met a few frequent travelers who just check bags because they are tired of lugging them onto planes or just can't seem to reduce their wardrobe requirements for a 1-2 week trip.

^ In the past 7 years I have never checked a bag on a business trip,* whether 1 night domestic or 5 countries/2 weeks. Cleaning is preferable to losing hours waiting for baggage which sometimes never shows.

^ Ditto. Backpack holds my technology and liquids, and a 21" B&R holds everything else. A bit of overkill for a one-night trip but I don't like to mess with my system

* Except on Qantas which doesn't permit 22" carryons
