I beg to disagree.

Buy an Entertainment Book for your local area, and go onto the Entertainment website. There, you can find ALL the hotels that they have in Europe, and all you have to do is present your "domestic" card, if they ask, which they usually do not.

The local book is a very good investment even if you don't stay at one of the European hotels.
