I booked 2 awards back in March to visit Sri Lanka using AA and CX flights. Flights were booked, ticketed and taxes charges. I saw on my credit card bill that I was charged the phone booking fee in error. I called AA in April to have these charges credited back to my credit card. Instead, in May an Aagent credited back the taxes, reinstated the miles and canceled the tickets. Since April when I looked online to check the tickets and see if there were any schedule changes nothing was showing up as cancelled. The awards looked to be fine and in order.

Today I get an email from AA saying it's urgent I call them about record locator xxxxxx. I call and find out what has happened. I was on the phone for over an hour while the Aagent fixed the two tickets and got everything back to where it was. Even though the miles had been redeposited back in April the reservation was still there.

Catastrophe averted with a massive amount of time and effort. How the heck does this happen? Aagent who helped me today had no clue how this could have taken place.
