I don't think so though. Even when I go to the Japanese/Korean store I see more Koreans than Japanese.
Who knows, maybe there is a market that would rather connect in NRT to ICN instead of through YVR? I probably would.
I wonder what's going on with that Air China Beijing - Montreal direct though...
Regardless, I don't think YUL has anywhere near enough Asians and Asia tourists (it came to light after I saw how many lived in Toronto).
YUL is probably bound to stay a Canada-Euro airport for life.

Air China starts Tuesday.....
And I believe AC has plans for a few YUL-Asia services before 2018, particularly YUL-PVG.
And according to a study done by KPMG YUL-NRT is the second largest asian destination after PEK from YUL. So if AC doesn't start it maybe ANA will.
