This sounds unrelated to AS, but it actually is: I can fly SFO-JFK-Caribbean-MIA-SFO on business with 60k AS miles, with stops at both New York and Miami, compare to 65k just to fly SFO-JFK roundtrip. It's too bad AA's MIA-SFO is not as good as MIA-LAX, but it's still a good deal

I recently canceled my Australia award trip and got tons of miles back, so I really need to do something like this instead. So decisions, decisions, what's the best Caribbean destination to make it work?

The best one I can think of is SXM, but the bad thing is I already visited SXM this May and unless AF is going to fly an A380 there, there's really no need to visit for a second time. What's other fun options? I'm interested in scuba diving and just sightseeing.
