Sorry, wideman, for the imprecision. I usually say "we" to mean "my wife and me"; we both post on FT, & the distinction is between what I say on my own and what we agree on. But you're right, the implication was that I referred to everybody on FT; clearly I can't speak for the rest of you.
I understand that it's generally not the practice to correct spelling/grammar. If I didn't follow that, I'd be busier than Doc.
In this case, I specifically chose to (1)send the pointed message, by breaking an unwritten rule, that PCLN was also breaking one, and (2)send the possibly constructive message that incorrect spelling, at least to some of us, diminishes the worth of the message even more. I expect PCLN may find useful venues for this message, and that by spelling it correctly, it might be taken more seriously.
Beyond that, Webster's Third gives both spellings as acceptable; American Heritage, Random House, & the OED have only one "t". Think of all the electrons saved! But who's counting?
