Have you checked the Residence Inn Central Park or the Residence Inn Times Square - much easier access to subway lines around the city, free breakfast daily, larger rooms (at the RI Times Square anyways). For Cat 8 hotels, I like the RI Central Park better - great views, strong location from an accessibility perspective, good free breakfast daily, etc.

Thanks for this...I hadn't considered an RI as I have always preferred a full service hotel to get the Platinum benefits...but checked Trip Advisor too and the reviews of the Central Park RI are outstanding, and very tempting.

Just bugs me that it takes a Category 8 points when I could go to a Paris or London full service hotel for the same.
