Could it be that the domestic market is softening and Jetz has once again become a way to earn some return on surplus assets?
AC has the A319 capacity now that the Rouge transfers were cancelled.
Once the pilots contract was ratified which allows A320/A321 to be brought in externally and go straight to Rouge, the A319s with higher CASM are much better suited to thin ML routes and Jetz. I heard some A319s may even be transferred back to ML from Rouge to allow larger Airbus to replace them.
