Was actually common to have an E90 or E75 flight mid day on YYZ-YOW swapped out for the 320-Jetz config. I have enjoyed it a few times my self.

I suspect AC was very good at placing AC while minimizing deadheaded flights. Now with the aircraft shortage (E75s moved to Sky, E90s leaving the fleet) I wonder how easy it will be to schedule...
