I've travelled both airlines from Australia to Asia in the last 12 months.Thai in a 747 and MAS in a 777.
In terms of ambiance and general newness of the aircraft , MAS came ahead.Both were full in Y.
I was also a little happier with the crew attitude on MAS but I really have had only a small sample to compare.
