I just booked a separate ticket for a flight within Peru (Puno-Lima) and I am given stricter baggage limits of 2 bags TOTALING 50 lbs.

Question then- is my separate ticket considered to be part of my entire itinerary which gives us extra baggage limits or does each ticket (reservation #) have its own guidelines?

I am also AA Platinum/Oneworld Sapphire and I have been told that I am not able to get preferred seating or extra baggage limits either. The OneWorld /Lan seating policy clearly states that I get preferred seating..

Can someone help me here with the policies?
Being AA Plat is not enough. You have to have your AA FFP number in your reservation in order to qualify for any OW Sapphire benefits. (And then you might need to give it time for LAN to check with AA and realize you're OW Sapphire, unless you booked through aa.com. But how did you book these?)

Meanwhile, you have "been told" all this by whom???
