I'm actually a fan of "bouncy" moving sidewalks as I get a little foot massage along the way. That, and the super fast ones at one of the train stations in Paris. Oh - I just read that it is no more:

It was actually quite scary.
Hopefully ORD never decides to copy the European tendency to force people into a shopping mall/shop just after security in order to make it to a non-shop hallway to move toward the gate. This kind of stuff slows down passengers, as a tribute to the shopping gods.
