Well, wouldn't this be true for LHR, FRA, SIN, AMS, BKK, NRT, HKG, DXB, DOH, and a bunch of other airports as well? I guess you would want to avoid flying from these airports if you're afraid of coming into contact with convicted murderers.

I am sure that at these airports, for flights that arrive from high risk areas (or from intelligence), immigration officers would be standing at the jetway on the lookout for certain passengers who they may think would be of interest before.

Passengers from high risk countries can always be subject to security rescreening before entering the transit area. As a matter of fact, in SIN, security rescreening does not take place until the passenger is about to board the next flight!

Some years ago, an Australian was caught smuggling drugs enroute from Vietnam to Australia via Singapore. They found the drugs during the security screening before he boarded the flight to Australia. This person was later sentenced to death by hanging.

Note: In SIN, you often see a military presence at the airport dressed in camouflage and sporting large guns.
