Two things will happen with this new plan:

1. More use of wheelchairs which presents its own issues getting around people because some people can use the people mover but not walk the whole distance.

2. More carts jockeying elderly and mildly infirm around which takes up more space and time for regular passengers and poses real safety risks for the public. Not to mention all that beeping.

This is really a blow for a person like me who planned to hassle San Jose Airport to put one in the new terminal as Alaska Air is really really far from the security entrance.
