While it may be some distance - akin to T5C - it is possible to do bag drop to past T4S passport control in less than 15 minutes. I have done that route loads of times and had the process of which security gate to clear and which train carriage to take all (the one that stops right opposite the escalators) in the name of completing the process as efficiently as possible down to a routine
