Hakone/Odawara is indeed our first destination (sorry if that wasn't clear), and although there might be little to do I'm sure we'll be ready to crash shortly after arrival. My thought was that pushing a bit to get there would give us a full day in the area vs. dealing with an afternoon hotel check-in the next day. We plan on a western hotel and not a ryokan post-flight as I doubt we'll be ready for the culture immersion/experience.

I have been a slacker on itinerary and lodging (we depart next week) and thus only have Tokyo locked up.
