It's talking about it as a philosophy. In your rush to white knight AC you're not thinking about the statement he's posted.
The philosophy is that by putting the customer first, the customer will put you first and you will mutually benefit. That it's not a winner take all situation, where the service provider has to lie to and dupe the customer into buying the product (enhancements, rouging, etc) in order to take something the customer wouldn't freely give if he was well informed on his options and the value of the product.
You can turn it into a personal fight against OP though, but it misses the point of the thread.
